Custom Outdoor Entertaining Area

Custom Outdoor Entertaining Area

This home’s new construction provided the ideal blank slate to create a breathtaking outdoor oasis that realized the homeowner’s landscaping wish list. Farda Landscaping & Excavating created a stunning outdoor entertainment area which capitalized on gorgeous mountain views surrounding the property. Included in the design were a pergola with a bar for dining, a grill, recessed refrigerator, and the design’s show-stopping centerpiece – an outdoor fireplace which extends the enjoyment of this luxurious and elegant entertaining area through all four seasons. Mixed pattern paver decks provided a rustic accent and the stone faced foundation and stairs offered the final flourish.

Custom Driveway

Custom Driveway

This custom driveway project resulted in an easy care surface that is beautiful in design and complements both the home’s landscape and architecture. Central to the project’s focus was the creation of a driveway design which was appropriate for the age and rustic façade of the home, barn, and carriage house. A tumbler block paver material was selected for its aged appearance and the homeowners were so pleased with the result that the project expanded to nearly 5,000 square feet. The completed driveway is a true showpiece that is easier to maintain and will retain its beauty year after year.

A unique spring fed pool was surrounded by a crumbling, painted concrete deck. Chipped and hard to maintain, the deck was a real eyesore, detracting from the unusual pool. This job was challenging in many aspects. A winding, steep, half mile drive along a ridge made it tricky to haul in trucks and heavy equipment. Furthermore, the tight quarters surrounding the pool, complicated by underground springs and an existing light pole, took skill and ingenuity to maneuver. Extra care was taken to ensure that the side of the pool did not cave in during the excavation and removal of the concrete. A ramp was created from the demolished concrete to access the pool site. This narrow path left no room for error. Drains were installed to remediate the underground springs and to provide a stable base for the new patio. Geofabric with 8 inches of tamped 2A stone created a solid foundation before laying paver. CST Brown Flash pavers were laid in a five piece random pattern, installed in the same footprint as the original concrete patio. The transformation is dramatic and the homeowners are ecstatic. What was formerly a crumbling eyesore is now an appealing entertainment area.
